Meet Gilbert Ramirez

Skin and bones… and maybe some thin strips of muscle placed randomly!

That’s what I was.

It was difficult to grow muscle and be strong when I was younger; even when I would eat more than my family combined. Of course, I was bullied and pushed around. Which led me to think about my future as a parent. I didn’t want to grow old and be that wimpy dad that would try to protect his kid from the neighborhood bullies but end up getting beat up by the kids instead.

So I started training! I was eager to get the upper hand so I started buying tons of workout programs; not for the workouts but for the information they had to offer.

My knowledge grew and was mesmerized!! I was so consumed with how the body works that I even changed my major from Criminal Justice to Exercise Science.

Little did I know that I would compete in my very first physique competition in 2014 then become an IFBB Pro in 2017.

After all the research I had done, I made a commitment to help those seeking to achieve their health and fitness goals. I went on to get my personal training certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, along with my Corrective Exercise Specialist certification. After completing my Bachelors Degree, I obtained my Exercise Physiologist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine and currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Exercise Science.
